Rev. Eldon Robert Hays

Rev. Eldon Robert Hays, 81, of New Mt. Zion Church Road, Williamsburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the home of his daughter.

He was born on October 23, 1935 in McKee, Kentucky to the late Thomas Hays and Ruby (Brumback) Hays.

He was also preceded in death by his great-grandson, Mason Hays.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sinda Hays of Williamsburg; daughter, Debbie Hodge (Lawrence) of Williamsburg; son, Alan Hays (Marlene) of Williamsburg; three grandsons, Robbie Hodge (Dena), Jody Hays (Sarah) and Ben Hodge; six great-grandchildren,  Evan Hodge, Wyatt Hodge, Cameron Hays, Lincoln Hays, Hannah Hodge and Kensie Hodge; brother, Fred Hays of McKee, KY; sister, Sadie Smith of Connersville, IN; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service was held Saturday, January 28, the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester, Rev. Roger Stanley and Rev. Lowell Huddleston officiating.

He was laid to rest in the Whitley Memorial Gardens.
