Dora Arbutus Hill-Watson

Dora Arbutus Hill-Watson, 85, of Corbin, departed this life on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Christian Care Communities Health Center in Corbin.

Dora was born on January 7, 1931 in Whitley County, to the late Kenneth Wells and Margaret (Shelton) Wells.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roscoe Hill and James Watson; daughter, Brenda Kay Hill; brothers, Noah Wells and Jennings Wells; and sister, Coleen Wells.

She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Marie Hill Curnutt (Ricky) of Williamsburg; three grandchildren, Tommy Curnutt of Butler, Kentucky, Timmy Wayne Curnutt of Williamsburg, and Kimberly Renee Sawyers (Larry) of Williamsburg; nine great-grandchildren, Nathan Curnutt, Ryan Curnutt, Kendra Curnutt, Kelsey Powers, Savanna Curnutt, Kimberly Curnutt, Gerald Wayne Salyer III, Christopher Salyer and Ricky Salyer; two great-grandchildren, Danielle Powers and Kayle Curnutt; two sisters, Joyce Smith and Georgia Rains of Corbin; special family friends whom she loved, Deedee McCallie, Trey McCallie and Susan and Martin Blair; special niece, Allison Morris; her special friends from Lexington; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service was held Friday, October 28, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Chandler officiating.

She was laid to rest in the Wells Cemetery.
