Area students graduate from UC

University of the Cumberlands announces that nineteen local students received diplomas on January 15. Out of this group, Jaime Genell Smith, of Gray, was graduated with the distinction of Summa Cum Laude, requiring a grade point standing of 3.95 to a perfect 4.0. Only four students achieved this honor.

Fall 2008 graduates include:

Teresa Marlene Abbott, of Williamsburg, the daughter of Eddie and Kathy Byrd and John and Marlene Westrick, who received a Bachelor of Science in Education with a science emphasis.

Keith Daniel Barnett, of Corbin, the son of Keith and Charlotte Barnett, who received a Bachelor of Science with a major in Business Administration, and a minor in religion.

John Henry Begley, of Corbin, the son of John and Sue Begley, who received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management. He is married to Tracey Begley.

Stephanie Renea Bowlin, of Williamsburg, the daughter of Jerry and Mildred Kinder, who received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management. She is married to James Bowlin.

Jeffery Erik Cloud, of Corbin, the son of Jerrel and Penny Cloud, who received a Bachelor of Science in Middle School Education with an emphasis in math and science.

Eric Michael Dixon, of Corbin, the son of Mickey and Loretta Dixon, who received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Jessica Gail Gabbard, of Corbin, the daughter of Brenda Baird and the late Herman Baird, who received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a math emphasis.

Tanya Rene Gilmore, of Williamsburg, the daughter of Ella Richards and the late John Richards, who received a Master of Arts in Teaching. She is married to Jim Gilmore.

Samantha Jean Gilreath, of Corbin, the daughter of Bob and Reba Osborne, who received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management. She is married to Darren Gilreath.

Janet Elaine Griffith, of Williamsburg, the daughter of Grant and Hettie Siler, who received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management. She is married to Darrell Griffith.

Wilma B. Haar, of Williamsburg, the daughter of Luciano and Quirica Bahinting, who received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management. She is married to Edward Haar.

Heather Ruth Housley, from Corbin, the daughter of Danny and Vickie Rickett, who received a Master of Arts in Education. Heather is married to Alex Housley.

Derek Wayne Marlow, of Corbin, the son of Gary and Kathy Marlow, who received a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education. He is married to Heather Myers Marlow.

Russell David Maynard, of Williamsburg, the son of Darrell and Brenda Maynard, who received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Public Health.

Joshua Lincoln Patrick, of Williamsburg, the son of Lincoln and Iona Patrick, who received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

Madeline Denise Rains, of Williamsburg, the daughter of Delores Fee and the late Herbert Stallard, who received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management. She is married to Stephen Rains.

Patrick Edward Robinson, of Williamsburg, the son of Bo and Carla Robinson, who received a Master of Arts in Teaching, with an emphasis in business and marketing education.
