NCAA Picks
Chris Parsons took the lead after the first weekend of NCAA Tournament play in our office pool. We have 10 people playing this season with Parsons taking a 55-52 lead over Mark White. Chris missed seven first-round games and one second-round game. He had picked Wake Forest to beat Dayton then get past Arizona. But, Dayton tripped up the Mountaineers. Mark White is in second-place with 52 points. Mark was 24 of 32 in the first-round and 14 of 16 in the second-round. He missed on Florida State and Arizona State. Ron Timperio is tied with Don Barton for third with 51 points while Don Estep and I are tied for fifth with 49 points. Louisville is the pick seven individuals, tickles me since that is MY team. But, I couldn’t pick the Cardinals only to be disappointed by North Carolina. So, I went with the Tar Hills like two other people. Memphis is the choice of one guy. Things heat up this weekend. I think the big games will be Villanova-Duke, Syracuse-Oklahoma, Memphis-Missiouri. The Big East has five teams alive. Will all make it to the next round. My Final Four picks are going to make me or break me..Louisville, Memphis, Duke, North Carolina.
