Central 52, West Jessamine 48

Two Cinderella teams playing in the Saturday morning semifinals, West Jessamine and Louisville Central.

Dejuan Robinson broke a 46-46 tie with 1:25 left and West Jessamine was going for a last shot when Desmond Brown stripped Jarron Polson of the ball and went the the distance for the lay-up.

Polson then raced to the other end of the court and scored but couldn’t get the ball back to force a tie or win of the game. They only had four fouls at that point.

Central moves into the championship game with a 19-14 record. When was the last time someone went to the finals with that many losses.

Alex Morrison led the Yellow Jackets with 16 points, MVP Robinson had 14.

Central won the state in 1969.
