Siler 60th Anniversary

Charles and Dorthalene Siler celebrate the 60th anniversary of their wedding on the 29th of July, 2009.
The Hon. Charles L. Siler has been in the KY General Assembly for 24 years and prior to that, retired from the US Army as an infantry officer and a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Dorthalene (Dot) Helton was a coal miner’s daughter in Harlan County. Dot raised three children, Mike, Kathi and Don while traveling with Charlie as a military wife from 1948 until 1972.
Charlie and Dot retired to the family farm in south Whitley County and have lived there since. In addition to their three children, they have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
