Eight arrested by Laurel Sheriff’s Deputies during early morning drug roundup
Eight people from southern Laurel County and elsewhere were arrested early Wednesday morning during a drug roundup by deputies from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department.
According to Laurel County Sheriff Fred Yaden, officers from his department participated in the roundup that started at 7:00 a.m.. Authorities are still looking for four other suspectes who have active arrest warrants on them for different degrees of drug trafficking.
Arrested were:
* Jason C. Simpson, 27, of Sweet Hollow Road in Corbin. He was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine;
* Robin Zelenka, 27, of Hall Street in Corbin, charged with three counts of trafficking in methamphetamine;
* Robert J. Kemp, 39, of Rolling Hills Drive in London, charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance first-degree;
* Stephanie Broyles, 29, of Davenport Lane in Lily, charged with one count of trafficking in a controlled substance second-degree;
* Sara L. Campbell, 42, of Fields Road in Corbin, charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first-degree;
* James D. Miller, 28, of Sweet Hollow Road in Corbin, charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree;
* Anthony D. Longworth, 37, of Hightop Road in London, charged with cultivating marijuana;
* James R. Faulkner, 25, of Huddleston Road in Williamsburg, charged with one count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the second degree.
