I have some news, and should have remembered to discuss it with you at the Library meeting last Friday.
It concerns a special program related to Mr. Jack Miller, a very important person in Williamsburg’s history, that will occur on Friday September 10th at the Convention Center.
I had intended only to bring it to the attention of the “Community Event” component of the paper. But I think it’s important to many people to know in advance, and maybe you do too.
Let me know if you want to find out more.
I will send you the “Public Notice” as an attachment to another email tha I have furnished to others as I try to spead the word.
Thanks for your help. You might have guessed that I am the “conflicted” one related to Greg’s meeting scheduling problem.
Dear Mr. White,
I would like to have in the newspaper an ad or “story” about witnessing a puppy being tossed out of a truck in Williamsburg on May 2, 2010. I now live in Hickory, North Carolina but I traveled yesterday morning to Pine Knot, Kentucky which is in McCreary County. I exited off the Williamsburg exit and when I was close to the Goodwill (on left), I saw an olive green truck pulled off to the side of the four lane. As I got closer, it sped away and I noticed a puppy rolling on the pavement. I grew up in McCreary County and I know all about the area, but for tourists visiting your town, they would be as appalled as I was and I still am. I immediately pulled over and picked up the puppy which turns out to be about 8 weeks old. It was full of mange. I want to put this story in the paper with a photo of this little baby puppy. I want whomever it was that tossed this puppy out on to the pavement to be ashamed. Please email me back or call me. I have the puppy and have taken it to a Vet here in North Carolina. Again, I want this in the paper. Please help me to shame these cruel people.
