Williamsburg police arrest man for firing shots in residential area
A Williamsburg man was arrested at gunpoint last night, after causing what officials call a major disturbance at a residential area.
According to Williamsburg Police PA Officer Shaun Jackson, officers Lt. Jason Cadell, Brandon White and KSP Trooper Dewayne Foley responded to the Highland Park after receiving a complaint of a fight between several subjects and shots being fired just after 10:00 p.m.
Upon arrival officers observed a man outside with a gun who then shoved the gun in his back pocket and fled inside a residence. Officer White pursued the man, who attempted to flee out the back of the residence, but was met by Lt. Caddell who was able to take the man into custody. Thirty-eight-year old Wade Finley Rains, of Chris Court, was arrested and charged with AI, disorderly conduct, three counts of wanton endangerment 1st, resisting arrest and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
Jackson said according to statements given by witnesses and by investigation, it was determined that shots were fired and that Rains was unruly, threatening officers and several people at the scene and not complying with any orders given by officers.
The investigation is continuing by Officer Brandon White.
