ONLY ONLINE: Two more local businesses targeted in rash of burglaries
Two more Corbin area businesses were the victims of burglars Monday.
Corbin Police said El Dorado Mexican Restaurant on Falls Highway and Vittorino’s Italian Restaurant on Main Street were hit Sunday night or Monday morning with the thieves making off with cash and alcohol
Corbin Police Captain Rob Jones said late Sunday night or early Monday morning the burglar(s) took more than $650 from El Dorado.
"They kicked in back door and got $650 out of the cash register and then took and broke into the jukebox and took the money out of there," Jones said.
The burglar(s) got into Vittorino’s in the same manner, taking $200 in cash and an unknown amount of alcohol.
This marks the fourth and fifth businesses to be burglarized within the last month. Joy’s Kountry Kooking, Forest Bowling Lanes and Corbin Barber Shop were hit in the span of one night on May 25-26.

"The chief has assigned more officers to the night shift," Jones said.
