Man arrested for wild fight with police officers at Bee Creek residence
Allen Scott Miller, who allegedly head butted a state trooper as he continued to fight with Whitley County Sheriff’s deputies, Corbin and Williamsburg Police, a constable and Kentucky State Police even after he had been handcuffed, will return to Whitley District Court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing to determine if the case should be presented to a grand jury.
Kentucky State Police Trooper Don Trosper, public affairs officer at Post 11 in London, said Trooper Jason Bunch was treated and released from Baptist Regional Medical Center for a bruised chest following the incident.
According to police, the situation began about 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 27 when Whitley County Sheriff’s Deputy Adam Jarboe was called to a 1017 Bee Creek Road in response to a complaint of a fight in progress and encountered Miller.
According to the arrest citation, Miller began cursing at Jarboe and got into a fighting stance. Jarboe said he used his "pepper" spray to try to get control, but it was unsuccessful. Jarboe requested backup, but while waiting for it to arrive, he said Miller jumped a fence and continue the fight with the neighbor that precipitated the call. Deputies, police, a constable and two state troopers responded.
"Upon their arrival, Miller had been placed in handcuffs but continued to fight," Trosper said. "He charged Trooper Bunch, striking Bunch in the chest with his head. He then charged at Trooper (Dwayne) Foley. Foley kicked him away and tried to use his Taser, but only one prong hit Miller, making the Taser ineffective."
Bunch then deployed his Taser. Trosper said Bunch’s Taser sent Miller to the ground, during which he struck his head on the concrete porch.
Miller was also taken to BRMC, for what Trosper described as a minor contusion on his head and then released into the custody of law enforcement.
Miller was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree terroristic threatening, two counts of resisting arrest, third-degree assault on a police officer and menacing and lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
According to court records, Whitley District Judge Cathy Prewitt released Miller from Jail Tuesday. He is to remain on house arrest at his parents’ home pending trial.

sounds like the newspaper is only putting the bits and peices that make the police sound better. Why did this other guy not go to jail?
Is it impossible for the “true” story to be reported anymore and not a story that only contains half truths? For those that are interested I will give a quick version of what really happened that night on Bee Creek.
It all started when Bruce Ginn (whom is not Allen’s neighbor, but is from London) pulled up to the gate on Allen’s property. Allen walked out to the gate to see what he wanted and Mr. Ginn told him that he was there to get his daughter. Allen then told Mr. Ginn to wait there and he would get him, but Mr. Ginn jumped over the gate and into Allen’s yard. Mr. Ginn then raised his shirt and showed a pistol to Allen and then sucker punched him. Allen fought back and put had Mr. Ginn on the ground. Allen let Mr. Ginn up and Mr. Ginn went back over the gate and too his truck and Allen went back to his house. It was Allen’s mom that called the police and not Mr. Ginn. When Officer Jarbo arrived Mr. Ginn started yelling obscenities at Allen and his mother. Allen jumped the gate and put a pretty good beating on Mr. Ginn at that point. Allen’s mom separated the two and took Allen back to the house. Officer Jarbo got in his cruiser and called for back up to help him out.
When the officers came up to the house to talk to Allen he allowed them to handcuff him when they asked him. As they were walk off the porch they shoved Allen, that was when Allen started fighting back. And unlike what the story above states Allen did not hit his head on the concrete after being hit with a taser. He hit his head on the concrete when one of the officers kicked Allen in the chest while he was being tased. And this did not result in a “minor contusion”, Allen had to get 7 staples in his head.
When Allen’s father got home he was walking over to towards Mr. Ginn to talk with him. Mr. Ginn then proceeded to pull out his pistol again and pointed it at and threatened to shoot four different people. This is the same pistol that he showed to Allen and that the cops were informed of but allowed this man to keep in his truck. And the funny thing is that too this day Mr. Ginn has not been arrested, which you would think would be mandatory after threatening to shoot 4 men while the police were still on the scene.
I agree with the poster above when he mentioned the “brotherhood” of police stomping on Allen’s rights. As it turns out Mr. Ginn is an ex state trooper, so I guess that automatically made Allen the bad guy.
This is of course a shortened version of what happened, but unlike the story above everything in this post is the truth.
Whoaaa what this peace dose not say. Allen was in his yard when this Ex state trooper came in his yard showed him a gun and then hit him olny then did allen start fighting back . when Jarbo got there the ex troper called allens mom a B and cursed her Jrabo then called in and officer down call for the ex trooper, Allen had his rights stomped on by the brotherhood of police. This ex trooper also pulled a gun on 4 men with the police there in allens yard and never went to jail If I have to have respect for this kind of law I don’t have any either
So…he beat the crap out of how law enforcement officers? which is a pretty good indication he has no respect for the justice system or the law and…they let him out of jail???? What kind of craziness is that??? Bassackwards!
