REQUEST FOR BID
The City of Williamsburg will accept sealed proposals for a Combination Bathroom and Attached Storage Facility until Monday, November 29, 2010 at 3:00 pm at City Hall, City Clerk’s Office located at 423 Main Street, Williamsburg, KY (606) 549-6035. This structure is to be constructed at the Hal Rogers Family Entertainment Center/Kentucky Splash Waterpark.
The design of the new facility shall conform to the illustration, which is available at City Hall in the City Clerk’s Office
The bid will have the following requirements:
•The structure shall be 37’ x 32’ = 1,184 sq. ft.
•Concrete foundation & concrete floor
•Concrete Block
•Roof trusses (same as other site buildings)
•Metal roof (same as other site buildings)
•Plumbing rough-in
•Plumbing final set out with fixtures
•Metal stall doors (6-female + 1 handicapped and 4-mens + 1 handicapped)
•Electrical rough-in
•Electrical final set out
•Emergency Lighting & Exit Signs
•Steel doors with hardware
•Painting inside & outside
•Finished Gable Ends
•Completed sewer line
•Completed water line
•Successful bidder shall be responsible for obtaining any and all required permits, license and fees.
All bids must show proof of sufficient liability insurance. Successful bidders are required to furnish a 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond for this project.
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within 60 consecutive calendar days after the actual date of bid opening. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The City of Williamsburg is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the construction of one (1) new single family dwelling will be received by Bell-Whitley CAA, Inc. at their office at 129 Pine St., Pineville, KY until 10:00 o’clock AM EST, November 23rd, 2010, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Bid must be labeled on the outside front cover as “Construction Project 2010- Private lot Chestnut Hills”.
The dwelling is described as:
•Construction Project – One new lock and key complete 1209 sq. ft. three bedroom house. Successful bidder is responsible for site preparation, debris removal and disposal, termite Pre-treatment, paved / concrete parking area, utility hookups, and installation of septic system, all permits and fees.
•Directions to site as follows: 25 W south to McKeehan Crossing (Chestnut Road) right @1/4 miles to fork in road turn right @ 1/8 mile on right Celia Lane downhill right on Scarlet Drive and left on Granville Drive to the end of drive, lot is at the end.
The information for bidders, form of bid, form of contract, plans, specifications and other contract documents may be examined at 129 Pine St., Pineville, KY. Due to the limited availability of copies of the house plans, the plans will remain in the office and be available for review by potential bidders. The successful bidder must purchase one set of plans for $250 each for each house to be built.
The owner or agency reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.
Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. Further attention is directed to CABO Code 1995 Edition, the 2002 Kentucky Residential Code and the 2003 Kentucky Residential Code supplement, Model Energy Code 1992, Section 3, Segregated Facilities, Section 109, Executive Order 11246, Title VI, Minimum Design and Universal Design restrictions and requirements, Kentucky Housing Corporation’s requirements in addition to KRC, and any other applicable local, state, and federal laws.
Minority and Women-Owned Business enterprises are encouraged to bid.
