UPDATED: North Corbin antiques store robbed; owner attacked with stun gun beaten

Kentucky State Police are searching for a man who reportedly robbed "Ona Whim Antiques" in North Corbin Tuesday afternoon at the point of a stun gun.
According to Trooper First Class Don Trosper, public affairs officer at Post 11 in London, about 12:15, a white man came into the store, attacked the owner and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
"We are not sure of the order of things but he used the stun gun and beat her," Trosper said, noting that police are not releasing the woman’s name because she is the victim of a crime.
"The stun gun was one of those little cheap things," he said. "It was not police quality."
It was later reported that the man waited until other customers had left, approached the owner and used the stun gun on her, before making off with the money.
"He only took cash," Trosper said. "He took what was in the register along with the cash the victim had in her purse."
The man is described as heavy set, approximately 6’2", short dark colored hair, wearing a white tee shirt, dark sweater vest and glasses.
"We don’t know if he fled on foot or in an vehicle," Trosper said. "No one saw him get into a vehicle."
However, Mel Chandler, the son of the store owner, posted on his Facebook account, asking friends to be looking for a white Mitsubishi Eclipse with a green graphic on the sides and the driver’s side headlight taped up.
"Guy just, tazed, beat and robbed my mother," Chandler posted. "He left something behind that I’d like to return to him."
Trosper added that police are still working with other law enforcement agencies to determine whether this is an isolated incident or one of a series of robberies.
Trosper said the owner was able to seek medical treatment on her own.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Kentucky State Police (606) 878-6622 or 1-800-222-5555.
