Robert “Robbie” Stidham Jr, 37, of Newcomb passed away on Thursday June, 23 at the Jellico Community Hospital.

Graveside services were at 5 p.m. Saturday June 25 at the Baird Cemetary (Little Elk) with Chaplain Gary Leach officiating.

Ray H. Roaden, 81, of Corbin passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 at Baptist Regional Medical Center.

Ray’s funeral was at 11 am Monday at Frankfort Baptist Church with Rev. James Hodge officiating.

Herschel Leroy Helton

Herschel Leroy Helton, 68, of Williamsburg, KY, passed away Friday, June 24, 2011, at Baptist Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family. 

Born February 5, 1943 in Keavy, KY, he was the son of Alice (Hill) Helton and the late Raymond Helton.  He graduated from Lily High School, class of 1961, was a Vietnam Veteran, and was retired from CSX Railroad.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 (noon) Tuesday, June 28, 2011, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Baker officiating. 

Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the D.A.V., Chapters 158 and 66.

The family of Herschel Leroy Helton will receive friends from 6-9 P.M. Monday at the Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master St., Corbin (528-5311).

John Wilburn Ponder

John Wilburn Ponder of Davenport Lane, Williamsburg, Ky. departed this life on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Beech Tree Manor Nursing Home in Jellico, Tenn.

He was a member of Louden Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army having served in Korea.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 29, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Siler and Rev. George Peace officiating.

He will be laid to rest in the Ponder Cemetery at Sally Gap.  Military honors will be conducted at the graveside.
