Two people were arrested without incident when Whitley County Sheriff’s deputies, U.S. Forestry Service officers and Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant near Corbin Tuesday afternoon in connection with a methamphetamine investigation.
According to Whitley County Sheriff Colan Harrell, about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, police executed a search warrant at 6750 Cumberland Falls Highway and recovered about eight grams of methamphetamine along with a methamphetamine lab on the charger scales, cash and the ingredients used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.
"We located the components of a methamphetamine lab, finished product and a firearm," said Whitley County Sheriff’s Capt. Greg Pace.
Police also located 13 dogs inside the residence that they turned over to the custody of Whitley County Animal Control Officer Wayne Perkins.
