Men arrested in Canadatown on methamphetamine charges

Harrison Sulfridge and Jamie Gibson
Two Whitley County man were arrested Tuesday on drug charges in the Canadatown community.
According to KSP Post 11 Public Affairs Officer Don Trosper, officers from Post 11 along with Williamsburg Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives met in a parking lot of a church on Young Creek Cemetery Road to plan the investigation. Upon arriving, they noticed a black Chevrolet Trailblazer with a single male occupant behind the church. After questioning the individual, officers discovered what they suspect to be methamphetamine and items used to manufacture meth.
Trooper Tony Dingess arrested Harrison B. Sulfridge, 33, of Williamsburg on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance first-degree (methamphetamine) and carrying a concealed weapon.
Later, investigators went to a residence on Gibson Lane to check out complaints of illegal drug activity. When officers arrived, they report smelling chemical odors that became stronger as they approached the home. Upon stepping onto the porch area of the house, officers saw, in plain view, a duffle bag with vapor/smoke coming from it and could see a HCL generator — used in manufacturing meth.
Jamie M. Gibson, 41, of Williamsburg, was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.
Dingess is continuing his investigation into both cases. He was assisted by Williamsburg Police Chief Wayne Bird and Detective Bobby Freeman.

I have known and know some great people from the area of Canadatown. What has happen to these people? The Canada’s, Petery’s, Sulfridge’s, Meador’s and many others should stand up and put a stop to all these drugs. I wonder do they the good people of Canadatown not understand the effect this is having on all the children in this Community. The people in this community are the only one’s who can put a stop to all this. The police can only do so much without the support of the Canadatown Community. You the Citizens of Canadatown must demand help and call the Judge’s that keep turning these Drug Dealers out and demand they are put in Jail. I wonder if Canadatown has any Church’s anymore were are the members? Why is it that Canadatown can not stand up for what is right? Please wake up or is it to late? May God bless the good citizens of this community. I only want the best for Canadatown and I know more good people live and work in this community than bad. If the good people ever get united then you drug dealers had better leave because they will burn you out.
