Thirteen local girls vie for the Miss NIBROC 2013 title
The 61st Annual Miss Nibroc Scholarship Pageant, sponsored by the Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, is set for this Saturday, Aug. 3, at 8 p.m. in the Betty J. Hamilton Center for Performing Arts at Corbin High School. Thirteen girls from the Tri-County area will vie for the title of Miss Nibroc 2013.
The Master of Ceremonies will be Brent Chumbley.
This year’s theme is “Denim, Glitz and Glam.”
Tickets will be available at the door for $7 per person.
This year’s contestants are:
Hayley Alaina Abbott, 17-year-old daughter of Michael Abbott and Stacey Abbott, currently attends Corbin High School;
Ivy Lynn Anderson, 17-year-old daughter of Glen and Shelly Anderson, currently attends Corbin High School;
Whitney Lee Baker, 19-year-old daughter of Marvin Baker and ReNee Hooker, graduated from Corbin High School and will attend University of the Cumberlands;
Savanna Elizabeth Leigh Cobb, 17-year-old daughter of Terre Cobb, currently attends Whitley County High School;
Megan Karen Cole, 18-year-old daughter of Diane and Brian Cole, graduated from Whitley County High School and will attend Eastern Kentucky University;
Kennedy Deeanna Rose Foley, 17-year-old daughter of Wendell and Sandy Foley, graduated from Corbin High School and will attend Western Kentucky University;
Taylor Cheyenne Hamlin, 18-year-old daughter of Jeff and Gina Hamlin, graduated from Corbin High School and will attend Eastern Kentucky University;
Julia Lauren Higginbotham, 17-year-old daughter of David and Lora Higginbotham, currently attends Williamsburg High School;
Savannah Faith Hill, 16-year-old daughter of Steve and Margaret Hill, currently attends Whitley County High School;
Moriah Janae Parker, 18-year-old daughter of Doug and Karla Parker, currently attends Corbin High School;
Kelsey Marie Brooklyn Powell, 17-year-old daughter of Wally and Jennifer Powell, currently attends Corbin High School;
McKenna Elizabeth Rains, 18-year-old daughter of Jerry and Kristin Rains, graduated from Whitley County High School and will attend Eastern Kentucky University;
Kori Raine Sears, 16-year-old daughter of Jeff and Regina Sears, currently attends Whitley County High School.
