BID NOTICE:
The Housing Authority of Williamsburg, (HAW), will receive sealed bids for 3 apartment Restoration/Service/Remodel from qualified contractors until 10:00 am local prevailing time on June 20, 2024, at the office of the Housing Authority of Williamsburg located at 600 Brush Arbor Road, Williamsburg, KY 40769 at which time and place, all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. BIDS RECEIVED AFTER THE STIPULATED DATE AND TIME WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. The HAW will not be held responsible for late delivery of bids by the U.S. Postal Service or any other means.

Apartment Restoration/Services/Remodel Bid Packet can be picked up at 600 Brush Arbor Rd., Williamsburg, KY 40769, Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 5:30pm.
Prebid Conference including tour of units for interested contractors will be on June 13, 2024, at 1:00pm at 600 Brush Arbor Rd., Williamsburg, KY 40769.
Proposed forms of contract documents, including plans, specifications, are on file for viewing at 600 Brush Arbor Rd.

WHITLEY COUNTY FISCAL COURT

BUDGET HEARING REGARDING PROPOSED USE OF COUNTY ROAD AID AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT ECONOMIC ASSISTANCE (LGEA) FUNDS.
A public hearing will be held by Whitley County Fiscal Court at Whitley County Fiscal Court on June 14, 2024 at 01:00 pm, for the purpose of obtaining citizen’s comments regarding the possible uses of County Road Aid (CRA) and Local Government Economic Assistance (LGEA) Funds.
All interested persons in Whitley County are invited to the hearing to submit verbal or written comments on possible uses of the CRA and LGEA funds. Any person(s) who cannot submit written comments or attend the public hearing, but wish to submit comments, should call the Office of the County Judge/Executive at Whitley County Fiscal Court by 01:00 pm, so that arrangements can be made to secure their comments.
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Corbin Wastewater Treatment Plant Oxidation Ditch Aerator Replacements will be received by the City Utilities Commission at its offices at 1515 Cumberland Falls Highway, Corbin, KY 40701 until 2:00 pm (local time) on June 27, 2024, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
General Contractors (Prospective Bidders) Note Pre-qualification Requirements:
The Corbin City Utilities Commission is requiring all prospective bidders to be pre-qualified to bid this project. Pre-qualification requirements only apply to General Contractors. Pre-qualification requirements and forms can be obtained at the following address:

Upon review of the above requested information and after a determination that the prospective bidder is satisfactory to the City Utilities Commission, the prospective bidder will be approved to submit a bid for the project. Any bid submitted by a contractor that is not prequalified by the City Utilities Commission will not be accepted.

Copies of plans and specifications may be obtained from Lynn Imaging, 328 Old Vine Street, Lexington, Kentucky 40507 (859-255-1021) upon payment of a non-refundable price of $250.00 for each set (including shipping and handling). Digital downloads are available at half the hard copy price. No bid will be accepted unless the BIDDER is a registered plan holder and prequalified by the City Utilities Commission. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid to ensure the execution of the contract for which the bid is made. In case the bid is not accepted, the check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder, but if the bid is accepted and the bidder shall refuse or neglect to enter into a contract with the City Utilities Commission within ten (10) days after the time he has been notified of the acceptance of his bid, the said check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City Utilities Commission as liquidated damages for the failure to do so.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after closing time scheduled for the receipt of bids.
The City Utilities Commission reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any and all bids.
Award of the Contract will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible Bidder.

PUBLIC NOTICE
A Petition to Close a County Road in part has been presented to the Whitley County Fiscal Court concerning 0.25 miles of Kid Road (CR1502). Pursuant to KRS 178.050, the hearing for this road closure, open to all interested parties, is scheduled to convene on June 18th 2024 at 4:00 p.m. during the regular scheduled court meeting. A written report from the two Viewers and the Road Department Supervisor will be presented at the meeting. A review of the map pertaining to the road closure is available for viewing at the Whitley County Judge Executive’s office during regular business hours.
