Friday Night Scores/Highlights – 1/10/14

 After leading 31-22 at the half, the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets gave up the lead to the Corbin Redhounds early in the fourth quarter. The Jackets tied the game again, but would not retake the lead. They eventually fell to their 50th district foes, 51-46.

In game two of a double header, the Corbin Lady Redhounds were able to bounce back after a narrow 79-78 defeat at the hands of Clay County Thursday night, easily defeating the Williamsburg Lady Yellow Jackets.

The 51st district was also on display Friday at Lynn Camp, with the Lady Wildcats continuing their winning waysby defeating Knox Central 43-31.

In the late game, the boys were defeated. It was a close contest at the beginning of the second half, but the Panthers quickly opened up the lead and cruised to the victory.

 Other scores of interest include the South Laurel Lady Cardinals picking up a 77-69 victory over Pineville, the Barbouville Tigers handing the Pineville boys team a 69-63 loss, Whiltey County being defeated by Leslie County in a close one 53-50, and North Laurel hanging on to defeat crosstown rival South Laurel 50-46.
