Fine Arts Association of Southeastern Kentucky, Inc. presents Robert Cowan, acclaimed concert pianist
The Fine Arts Association of Southeastern Kentucky, Inc. presents Robert Cowan, acclaimed concert pianist, Tuesday, March 4, 2014, 7:30 p.m. at Grace on the Hill United Methodist Church, Corbin, Ky.
Robert Cowan has had an outstanding career both as a soloist and as a member, with his wife, of the duo-piano team Joan Yarbrough and Robert Cowan. They met at the Royal Academy of Music in London, married there, and then embarked on a duo-piano career which, in 32 years, took them to three continents and 37 states, making over 400 appearances, 76 of them with orchestra. Mr. Cowan is now embarking on a solo tour and is proud to add southeastern Kentucky to his schedule. He is a graduate and scholarship student of both the Julliard School of Music and the Music Academy of the West. He earned the Performer’s Certificate and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Eastman School of Music and the L.R.A.M at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
