Iva Lynda Steely
Iva Lynda Steely, born on May 28, 1943, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, passed away on January 20, 2024, in her home in Williamsburg, Kentucky surrounded by her loving children.
Known for her kind spirit, generous heart, and unwavering faith, Lynda led a life dedicated to service and love for her family and community.
Lynda was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Williamsburg, Kentucky, where she found solace and strength in her faith.
Her professional life was equally impactful, as she served as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and as the Treasurer of the Whitley County Fiscal Court. Her dedication, precision, and integrity in her professional role were respected and admired by her colleagues and the community at large.
Lynda is survived by her sons, Charles Dallas Steely of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Jeffrey L. Steely and wife Starla of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; her step-grandsons, Quentin Roark (Savannah) and Quaid Roark (fiancé Makayla Gray) of London, Kentucky; her nephew, Scott Fraizer (Janet); her great-nephew, Logan Frazier; her great-niece, Sophia Fraizer; and her sister, Anna Lunsford of Melbourn, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Iva Stella (Hart) White.
Lynda’s life was a testament to a mother’s love, a friend’s loyalty, and a servant’s heart.
A graveside service honoring Lynda’s life will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Broyles Cemetery in Rockholds, Kentucky. Officiating by Rev. Jeremy Shannon.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the First Baptist Church of Williamsburg, Kentucky.
