50th anniversary celebrated by Mr. and Mrs. Bunch
Johnnie and Maxine Bunch celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on November 2, 2013, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Corbin, Kentucky, with a dinner celebration hosted by their daughters, Cindi Farmer, Jenni Lou Jackson, Bethani Carmichael, granddaughters, Whitney McCullah and Madison Farmer, and several church friends. Many lifelong friends, family, and church family attended the dinner to honor the couple and help them celebrate 50 years of marriage. The couple married October 25, 1963, at Grays Baptist Church in Gray, Kentucky. On the actual day of their 50th Wedding Anniversary the couple and their children, sons-in-law, and grandchildren enjoyed a nice walk down memory lane by returning to Grays Baptist Church where they had exchanged vows 50 years ago. They were photographed with their family in the actual place where they had wed. After the photography session the anniversary party had dinner at Cumberland Falls Dupont Lodge where the couple had attended their Senior Prom together. The couple also celebrated by taking a fall foliage anniversary trip to Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket Island early in October. Their marriage has been blessed with four daughters, Tami Lee (deceased), Cindi Lynn, Jenni Lou, and Bethani Leigh and nine grandchildren, Whitney, Madison, Nancy Jane, Mary Hope, BJ, Jack, Mo, JP, and Kadie Beth. The couple said, “We attribute a successful, happy, and blessed marriage to a strong faith in God and a mutual commitment to the Godly covenant of marriage.”
