2023 50th District Tournament: Night 2 Results
On Tuesday, the championship game of the boys’ 50th District tournament bracket was decided when Corbin faced Williamsburg and Whitley County squared off against South Laurel in first round action.
In game one, the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets made Corbin earn it, but in the end the Redhounds were able to pull away for the 77-54 win, improving to 21-6 on the season. With the loss, the Jackets end their 2022-23 campaign with an even record of 15-15.

Game two decided who would be facing the Redhounds in Friday evening’s district title contest, as well as who would be accompanying them to the Arena next week for the 2023 13th Region tournament.
With each team having one win over the other in the regular season, the Whitley County Colonels and the South Laurel Cardinals were both hopeful of advancing Tuesday night, but ultimately it was the host Cardinals who came away victorious by the final score of 56-36. With the win the Cards improved to 22-8, while the Colonels end their season at 20-10.
