18 arrested following 11-month drug investigation at Corbin Manor Apartments
Local law enforcement swarmed Corbin Manor Apartments off of American Greeting Road Tuesday morning, serving arrest warrants on 18 residents suspected of selling prescription drugs.
According to Kentucky State Police Trooper Lloyd Cochran, public affairs officer at Post 11 in London, state police, along with Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies and Laurel County deputy jailers led by KSP Detective Chris Roberts served the warrants without incident.
The individuals arrested and the charges they face include:
• Corine Edwards, 44, of Corbin, four counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Karen Hollin, 47, of Corbin, three counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Amber Fuston, 21, of Corbin, three counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Rhonda Fuston, 52, of Corbin, three counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Amanda Fuston, 25, of Corbin, three counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Melissa Bennett, 45, of Corbin, second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Jennifer Kysar, 31, of Corbin, four counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Tiffany Banning, 26, of Corbin, three counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Patricia Young, 45, of Corbin, three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance
• Bridgett Smith, 50, of Corbin, three counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Kimberly Johnson, 23, of Corbin, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and two counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• William Edwards, 33, of Corbin, three counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Melissa Banning, 20, of Corbin, six counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Latoy Kiser, 28, of Corbin, four counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Joanna Denham, 39, of Corbin, four counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Cody Smith, 22, of Corbin, three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance
• Michael Chambers, 53, of Corbin, four counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Tonja Young, 48, of Corbin, three counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
All were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Cochran said the arrests were the result of an 11-month investigation by Kentucky State Police.
“What led to the investigation was citizen complaints,” Cochran said.
Cochran said additional arrests are expected.
