NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR RECLAMATION DEFERMENT
In accordance with 405 KAR 16:020, notice is hereby given that Mountainside Coal Co., Inc., 7692 S. HWY 25W, Williamsburg, KY 40769 has applied for a coal marketing reclamation deferment renewal for its surface coal mining and reclamation operation, permit number 918-0465. Deferment of reclamation is being requested for approximately 1.8 acres which is owned by TKY Acquisitions (Surface), Corrigan TLP LLC (Surface), and Ed Jones (Surface and Mineral). The operation for which the deferment is being requested is located 2.4 miles northeast of the community of Siler and 1.8 miles north of the confluence of Harpes creek and Puncheon branch in Whitley County. The permit area is approximately 1.16 miles north of the intersection of Puncheon Branch Road and Harpes Creek road. The latitude is 36° 41’ 51” N and the longitude is 83° 55’ 33”W.
The deferment is being sought due to a coal marketing problem and is being requested for an additional period of six (6) months. The deferment may be renewed for additional periods up to a maximum of 30 months.
The application has been filed for public inspection at the Department for Natural Resources Middlesboro Regional Office, 1804 East Cumberland Avenue, Middlesboro, Kentucky 40965. Written comments or objections must be filed within ten (10) days of this notice with the Director, Division of Permits, #2 Hudson Hollow, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.
PUBLIC NOTICE
A Petition to Close a County Road has been presented to the Whitley County Fiscal Court concerning 0.19 miles of Logan Road (CR1502). Pursuant to KRS 178.050, the hearing for this road closure, open to all interested parties, is scheduled to convene on April 18, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. during the regular scheduled court meeting. A written report from the two Viewers and the Road Department Supervisor will be presented at the meeting. A review of the map pertaining to the road closure is available for viewing at the Whitley County Judge Executive’s office during regular business hours.

NOTICE:
The 2015 Whitley County Sheriff Tax Account Audit Report has been released. A copy of the complete audit report is on file and available for public inspection during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. If any citizen wishes to obtain a complete copy including financial statements and supplemental information for their personal use copies will be made available upon request. Copies will be charged at the rate of 25 cents per page. Copies of the financial statement prepared in accordance with KRS 424.220 are available to the public at no cost from the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Public Service Commission of Kentucky issued an order on February 6, 2017, scheduling a hearing to be held on April 18, 2017, at 9:00 a.m., Eastern Daylight Time, in Hearing Room 1 of the Commission’s offices located at 211 Sower Boulevard in Frankfort, Kentucky, for the purpose of cross-examining witnesses in Case No. 2017-00003, which is An Examination of the Application of the Fuel Adjustment Clause of Kentucky Utilities Company from November 1, 2014 through October 31, 2016.
