Bike Share program shelved due to lack of interest

A Corbin Main Street Program, funded by the local Wal-Mart store and designed to help encourage bike use in the area, has been shelved almost since it began for lack of interest, city officials say.

UPDATED: Woman severely beaten, stabbed before being shot by grandson, police say

Laurel County Sheriff's deputies say 32-year-old Jeremy Owens shot his grandmother, Bernice Champlin in the head in addition to stabbing and beating her during an argument at her home on Queen Road in Lily Wednesday.
