Vincent Eugene Walters, an adventurous, thoughtful, and reliable soul, passed away on August 13, 2023, at the age of 63.
Born on April 1, 1960, in Corbin, KY, Vincent lived most of his life in Woodbine, KY.
He was a retired electrician who embraced the spirit of adventure through his love of hunting, fishing, and camping. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” Vincent did just that, living his life to the fullest and charting his own course.
Vincent’s thoughtful nature and reliability made him a rock to his family, whom he loved dearly and considered as the most important aspect of his life. His family cherished him in return and will deeply miss him. He is survived by his dear mother, Betty Walters; his siblings, Margie Walters, Victor Walters (Kim), and Baughn Walters; his beloved sister-in-law, Kim Walters (Victor); and his cherished niece and nephew, Ashley Patterson and Joseph Walters and Tyler Walters. Vincent also leaves behind his dog, Max. He was preceded in death by his father, Oddison Walters.
A visitation service to honor the life of Vincent Walters was held on Thursday, August 17 at Croley Funeral Home,
Burial was Friday, August 18, at the Skinner Sutton Cemetery in Woodbine, KY.
In the words of Maya Angelou, “A great soul serves everyone all the time. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again.” As we gather to remember Vincent, we celebrate the great soul that he was and the memories he has left behind.
We invite you to share your memories of Vincent and upload photos to his memorial page. Each recollection, no matter how small, contributes to the tapestry of his life story, allowing us to remember and celebrate the adventurous, thoughtful, and reliable man that was Vincent Walters.
