Daniel Ray Bowman, known to us all as Daniel, was born on December 4, 1979, in Jellico, Tennessee, and was called to his eternal home on January 7, 2024.
Daniel spent his life weaving a tapestry of love, strength, and commitment to his family, faith, and community.
His life was a testament to the verse from the Bible, Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another”. He lived his life by this principle, strengthening those around him through his dedication and service.
Daniel was a truck driver by trade, a responsibility he carried on with dedication and pride. His love for the open road was only surpassed by his love for his family and his community.
Daniel was a devoted member of Patterson Creek, Goldbug, Pleasant View, and Emlyn Volunteer Fire Departments, where he served with unyielding commitment to ensure the safety of his community.
He was a deeply committed member of his Baptist church, where he found solace and strength. Daniel’s love and devotion to his faith, family, and community were the pillars on which he built his life.
He is survived by his loving father, Jimmy Bowman; his beloved wife, Ashley Bowman; proud children, Derick, Laklee, Kayden, and Alyssa Bowman; cherished grandchildren, Brooklyn Hagger and Mason Canada; and his supportive brother, Austin Philpot. Daniel also leaves behind his special friend, Johnny Philpot, whose friendship enriched his life and Ashley Bryant, his special daughter-in-law. A host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Daniel was preceded in death by his loving mother, Polly Bowman; his caring aunt, Velma Cox; his cousin, Evelyn McKiddy; and his grandmother, Joann Bowman who held a special place in his heart.
Join us to celebrate Daniel’s life and the legacy he leaves behind.
