City of Williamsburg accused of sanitary sewer violations; must make repairs within 7 years

The city of Williamsburg has seven years to fix all the problems related to its storm sewer system after approving an agreed order Monday night with the Energy and Environment Cabinet.

A Whitley County Sheriff's Deputy arrested three Lexington residents Thursday morning, who were returning to Kentucky after one of them visited a Florida pain clinic and had over 400 pills in the vehicle.

18-year-old Whitley Jail inmate found dead Friday morning

An 18-year-old Whitley County Detention Center inmate died early Friday morning, but no foul play is suspected, according to Whitley County Coroner Andy Croley.

Newscast helps police capture men who were buying lotto tickets with slugs

A television newscast Friday evening helped catch two men, who Williamsburg police believe are responsible for stealing $1,300 worth of scratch off lottery tickets from the Pilot in Williamsburg Wednesday including one ticket that they cashed in for $300 at the store.
