Thirty-three-year-old Terry W. Mullis, 25-year-old Franklin A. Parks and 24-year-old Harry Castle were each indicted Monday in Whitley Circuit Court on charges of receiving stolen property. According to the indictment, Corbin Police Detective Rusty Hedrick allegedly found Castle, Mullis and Parks each in possession of dirt bikes\/motorcycle that had been reported stolen from Gonzo\u2019s Speed Shop in Corbin on October 29. Castle allegedly had a Beta Dirt Bike that had a value in excess of $500. Mullis allegedly had a Yamaha dirt bike that had a value in excess of $500. Parks allegedly had a Kawasaki Ninja that had a value in excess of $500. In addition, Mullis was indicted on one count of first-degree persistent felony offender. The indictment noted four previous convictions on felony charges of second-degree forgery in 2008 in Knox County, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and receiving stolen property in 2005 in Whitley County, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and second-degree forgery in 2005 in Knox County, and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument in 2005 in Knox County. Colby Wilson, owner of Gonzo Speed Shop said the thieves who hit his shop in October making of with approximately $20,000 worth of items. The thieves reportedly rode the bikes to a location in Woodbine. Wilson had posted pictures of the stolen bikes on Facebook and that resulted in a tip from someone who had seen the trio on the bikes. Wilson went to Woodbine where he found Parks on the Beta and gave chase. \u201cI chased him in my truck. He went into the creek on the bike and started trying to run away,\u201d Wilson said previously, adding that he caught Parks. A scuffle ensued in the creek bed and Parks was able to escape. Parks was later arrested at his home on Back Street. Additional leads led Wilson to another of the suspects on the Ninja. However, Wilson was unable to catch him. Police later recovered the motorcycle after one of the suspects called and told them where it could be found. Castle was arrested when he apparently pulled the Yamaha dirt bike into the driveway of the Back Street home where Parks was being arrested. Mullis was arrested in November.
