The post, which has since been deleted or restricted, said \u201cAfter my son was sexually assaulted by a Union College Student (sic) under the supposive (sic) supervision of Lynn Camp High School they decide today to suspend my son from any future athletics his Senior Year (sic)\u2026\u201d The post went on to say claim that Lynn Camp \u201cdidn\u2019t want any \u201cBlack Eye\u201d from this.\u201d In response to the parent\u2019s claim, a statement released Tuesday from the District said \u201cThe Knox County Board of Education was made aware of a Facebook post from a Lynn Camp parent on October 29 citing that their child had allegedly been sexually assault by a contracted service provider for our school system.\u201d The statement, released by Frank Shelton, Director of District Communications and System Governance, went on to say \u201cStudent related discipline matters, such as the one this Facebook post makes reference to, are subject to the school and district handbook and school leadership. The District is currently investigating this matter. Due to confidentiality issues we are unable to provide further comment at this time.\u201d Since the post\u2019s allegations involved a Union College student, comments from the college were sought on the matter. However, a reply from Brain Strunk, Union College\u2019s Executive Director of Development, simply said \u201cUnion College has no comment on this Facebook post.\u201d The Mountain Advocate will continue to monitor this case for any further developments."}
