Airport Manager Larry Corum said the planes will range from a Jenny Bi-plane of World War I vintage, to an A-4 Skyhawk, an attack plane used by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps in Vietnam to provide close air support. Corum said 25 to 30 aircraft will be on display on the ramp outside the terminal. In addition to seeing the aircraft up close, visitors will have the opportunity to take a ride in some of them. Corum said rides will be $25 per person for a flight lasting 15 to 20 minutes. A variety of World War II era military vehicles, including a halftrack, Jeeps, a staff car, motorcycle, and mule will be on display in the hanger along with other military memorabilia. \u201cWe will be putting it in the hanger because the display is so big,\u201d Corum said. The car show will be held on the road outside the terminal. Corum said it will feature a wide variety of classics and customs. \u201cWe got rained out last year, but two years ago, we had over 100 cars,\u201d Corum said. Multiple fire trucks will also be at the event and visitors will have the opportunity to see them up close. \u201cThe London Fire Department will be bringing their boom truck,\u201d Corum said, noting six to eight trucks are expected. There will also be inflatables for the children and a variety of vendors will be on hand selling food and drinks. \u201cThese are the wet inflatables where you end up in a pool,\u201d Corum said. The open house is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the airport on Hal Rogers Road off of U.S. 25. The event is free and open to the public."}
