Jackie Steele, Commonwealth\u2019s attorney, stated, if convicted on the charges, Lockaby could face a 70-year sentence or life in prison due to the Kentucky Statutes. Lockaby would have to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence on the sodomy charges before being eligible for parole. According to the Kentucky Statutes, individuals must appear before the parole board at least every 20 years except if sentenced to life without parole or given a death sentence. Caperton left Lockaby\u2019s bond at $100,000 cash. In addition, Caperton ordered that Lockaby had no contact with the victim or the victim\u2019s family. Lockaby is set to appear for pretrial on July 19."}
