Under the terms of the plea agreement, 57-year-old Condy O. Irvin pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. One count of first-degree rape was amended to first-degree sexual abuse. Additional charges of first-degree sodomy and incest were dismissed. In return for Irvin\u2019s guilty plea, prosecutors recommended a prison sentence of three years to be served concurrently, meaning for each day Irvin spends in custody, he will receive credit toward both sentences. Irvin has been held in the Laurel County Detention Center since he was arrested on March 4, 2014. The deal is not done however. Under Kentucky law, the judge in the case, Special Judge S. Todd Spalding, may elect to reject the plea agreement when Irvin returns to court for sentencing on June 17. If Spalding rejects the agreement, Irvin may either withdraw his guilty plea and the case will be set for trial, or continue with sentencing without a plea agreement in place. Irvin was arrested March 4, 2014 and a Laurel County grand jury returned an indictment against him in April 2014. According to the indictment, Irvin, who was 55 years old at the time, is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse sodomizing and sexually abusing the two children, who were under the age of 12 at the time. The incidents allegedly occurred on July 30, 2000 and April 8, 2004. Irvin remains in the Laurel County Correctional facility."}
