Lambert received the highest number of votes, 63,884, followed by Ballou with 32,192 votes and Senior Judge David Tapp with 31,247 votes. Lambert said she was, “very humbled and honored,” to have received the votes. She said that each vote represents a voter who took the time to go cast a ballot. Lambert congratulates both Dan Ballou and David Tapp on their,” well run and classy campaigns.” “It was an honor to run with them,” said Lambert. She said her campaign team would regroup and begin preparations for the November runoff. Lambert would like to inform constituents about her intentions to start a Whatever it Takes program to help encourage local judges to get involved with middle schools across the state to prevent those students from later appearing in their courtrooms. Ballou said, “I feel pretty good, glad to still be in the game.” He is looking forward to meeting more people during his campaign as he prepares for the November election. He would like his constituents to know that as a veteran he appreciates each person who exercised their right to vote. Ballou considers it a civic duty for individuals to vote. He encourages constituents to exercise their right to vote in the November election. The third Supreme Court District consists of 27 counties in Central and Eastern Kentucky."}
