The event will last from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The first 50 participants will receive a free grabber, donated by David Hart, to pick up trash. All participants will receive #keepcorbinclean sunglasses. The Southeastern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is donating a $100 gift card that will be awarded to a lucky individual drawn based on the names on the sign in sheet. The Chamber will also provided Bojangle’s breakfast sandwiches to participants. Northwestern and Norvex Supplies also donated a $100 visa gift card to be given away. Garbage bags and plastic gloves will be provided to participants, but individuals will need to supply their own drinks. Individuals will go to different locations around Corbin to pick up trash. People should think about areas around Corbin that they believe need cleaning. Participants will be able to claim certain locations on Saturday morning, said Suzie Razmus, owner of Tri-County Cineplex and an organizer of #keepcorbinclean. “It just takes a little bit of effort to make a big difference if everyone works together.” #keepcorbinclean is part of a larger statewide effort called Beautify the Bluegrass Campaign. Communities throughout Kentucky will be competing to see who can do the most to beautify their town. Participants are encouraged to post pictures throughout the event using the #keepcorbinclean hashtag to help Corbin in the competition."}
