She joined her friends and family members around God’s glorious throne. Her home going was painless and gentle as a dove, with a heavenly vision of her Lord and loved ones who were awaiting her coming. I, her daughter, Norma, was privileged to be by her side at her home going. We had lived together for almost fourteen years in Florida. Neither she nor I had any idea she was going to heaven at this time. In March she would have been one hundred and one years old. She had just returned from the hospital where she had overcome every sickness that came her way. Her color was good and she appeared to be in good health. She was propped up in bed resting comfortably when suddenly she looked upward toward the ceiling and a heavenly scene opened up to her. She seemed amazed and in awe at what she was seeing. It seemed to be a heavenly host which she had told me about seeing several times before. I said, “oh, mom, are you going to heaven now?” Before I could finish speaking the word “now,” her spirit just flew away with the heavenly host. Gentle Jesus came for her as if she were a rare, delicate rose. How lovingly and gently He took her. She was a faithful mother and devoted servant of the Lord. I’m sure she heard her Lord Jesus say, “well done you good and faithful servant. Enter into the joys of your Lord.” She had a loving family, parents: Curt and Cynthia Croley, brothers: Arnold and Paul Croley, Sr., sisters: Marie Bryant and Myrtle Prewitt and many others who had gone on before her. One can only imagine the joy of that homecoming. She had four children, Norma, June McKinney and husband Mac, Curtis Hatcher, Wayne Hatcher and wife, Rita, one sister, Elizabeth (Lib) Richardson, one brother, Ernest Croley and wife, Doris, and sister-in-law: Edna Croley Early. She will be greatly missed. She ran a faithful race for the Lord and is now enjoying the beauties of heaven where “eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has entered into the heart of man, the things God has prepared for those who love Him.” If she could send you a personal message, she would say, “run a good race for your Lord. Don’t ever give up because you will overcome. I want to see you one day in heaven.” Condolences may be made to the family at www.croleyfuneralhome.com.
