Judge Wendell \u201cSkip\u201d Hammons sentenced Bright to the three days he had served in jail and ordered that he pay the fines and court costs by October 16. Knox County Sheriff\u2019s Sergeant Carl Frith was called to the scene of the crash on Ky. 830 in Corbin. \u201cWhen Sgt. Frith arrived he observed four beers on the moped,\u201d said Deputy William Stewart, the department\u2019s public affairs officer. In addition to the DUI charge, Bright was served with an outstanding warrant out of Knox County charging him with public intoxication in a public place \u2013 third or greater offense within 12 months and a warrant out of Laurel County on a charge of taking fish under the legal size limit.
