Cort Carpenter encourages everyone to go check out his music on Spotify and other platforms to learn the lyrics to his songs. He wants everyone to be able to sing along with him. Cort said he wants to bring the \u201cNashville experience\u201d to Corbin. Although he has never been to Corbin, he said he is excited for this opportunity. He said that he believes that he has, \u201cmusic everyone can relate to regardless of his or her mood.\u201d Cort will be performing a mixture of his original songs and covers. Carpenter is scheduled to take to the stage at 9 p.m. \u201cHe and his band put on one of the best live shows you\u2019ll see,\u201d said Bruce Carpenter, Director of the Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, which organizes the event. NIBROC will begin August 8 with the opening of the carnival and continue through Aug. 11. Visitors may purchase armbands each night to ride all of the rides that night for one price. The armbands will be $10 Wednesday and $20 Thursday through Saturday. Musical entertainment is scheduled Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Pistol Whip will take to the stage at 7 p.m. Friday followed by Billy Brown at 9. River Rising will open the show at 7 p.m. Saturday followed by County Wide at 9 p.m. \u201cThey will be bringing people from Nashville to shoot a video during the show,\u201d Carpenter said of County Wide.
