Coy Wilson said Cassidy and the clerk, who was not identified, had been involved in an on-going argument. Cassidy and his significant other reportedly went to the store to confront the clerk. \u201cIt was over a dog,\u201d Wilson said. Wilson said Cassidy was allegedly yelling at, threatening and making obscene gestures to the clerk while standing outside the store. \u201cCassidy started to come into the store and charged at the clerk,\u201d Wilson said. \u201cWhen the clerk punched him, Cassidy fell and broke his ankle.\u201d Wilson said Cassidy admitted to police that he had been drinking alcohol prior to the confrontation and that he had made threats to the clerk. Wilson said when Corbin Police Lt. Glenn Taylor and Officer Wade Mitchell attempted to secure Cassidy in handcuffs, Cassidy would not comply with their commands."}
