Anderson Pease, 89, of Lexington and formerly of Corbin passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital, Hospice Care Center in Lexington. A native of Mishawaka, IN, Alice came to Corbin when her husband Robert, a salesman for Kraft Foods, was transferred here. The family attended First United Methodist Church and Alice served as church secretary.\u00a0 Later she worked for and retired from the Kentucky Department of Employment Services. She belonged to the Eastern Star;\u00a0 Beta Sigma Phi, preceptor, Alpha Alpha\u00a0 sorority; and enjoyed craft work including knitting and ceramics. Six years after Robert\u2019s death in 1990, Alice moved to Fort Myers, FL where she made new friends and enjoyed sunny skies and gulf beaches. She returned to Kentucky in 2012, living briefly in Lexington before moving into her son Tom\u2019s home at Versailles until his death in 2016.\u00a0 Her last residence was Rose Manor, HCF in Lexington.\u00a0 A daughter, Maryjo Pease passed away in 2010. Alice is survived by daughters, Kris (Mac) McDougall and Patti Pease, both of Lexington; a daughter-in-law, Gay Jones Pease of Versailles formerly of Corbin; a sister, Alma Grable of Washington state; sister-in-law Mary Jo (Tom) McPherron of Indiana; and grandchildren, Christi (Greg) Gresham and Amy (Patrick) Redding; great grandchildren, Nate and Zachary Gresham, Hayden and Jackson Redding, all of Versailles. A celebration of Alice\u2019s life will be held Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. with Memorial service to follow at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. She will be interred privately at Cumberland Memorial Gardens beside Robert.
