She was born on November 21, 1934 in Williamsburg, to Paul Witt and Pauline (Nunley) Witt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Pauline Witt; and husband, Walter Smallwood. She attended Emlyn Church of God. She is survived by her brother, Matt Witt (wife Sandra) of Emlyn; three nieces, Christy Richardson (Russell) of Emlyn, Jennifer Calder (Mike) of Mt. Vernon, and Courtney Hayes (Rocky) of Emlyn; nephew, Edmund Hering of Danville; several great nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. A graveside service was held Monday, October 30, at the Emlyn Cemetery with the Rev. Harold Long and Rev. Virgil Ball officiating. She was laid to rest in the Emlyn Cemetery.
