He was born in Corbin, and was a retired computer programmer having retired from Humana. A US Army veteran of Vietnam, Roxell enjoyed playing chess, reading, and music. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmon Karr and Myrtle Eaton Karr and by a nephew, Bryan Karr. Roxell is survived by his wife, Joy Dizney Karr; son, Roxell Karr; daughter, Lena Karr; brother, Rondal Karr and by his beloved cats, Molly and Ginger. The funeral service was held Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Lawson officiating. Keavy DAV conducted military honors at the funeral home.
