William “Creed” Keisling, 42, was initially charged with attempted murder in connection with the Feb. 24, 2015, stabbing of Sidney L. Satterfield, 59. The charge was upgraded to murder after Satterfield died on March 2, 2015, only hours after being released from the hospital. The autopsy report has since showed that the victim died of natural causes. Whitley Circuit Judge Dan Ballou scheduled a July 13 trial in the case during Tuesday’s brief court hearing.
