They have stood up and took the oath of enlistment to serve our nation and community in the Kentucky Army National Guard. SFC Kirby Jones and SGT Valerie Kelly welcomed the enlistees into the Kentucky National Guard. The list of enlistees includes: Christopher Grubb, Jeffery Patterson, Ryan Brock, Austin Smith, Tyler Hubbard, Matthew Goins, Steven Grubb, Joseph Lewis and David Harrell, Christopher Grubb and Steven Grubb are brothers. All enlistees will go to Army basic training in the near future and will train to be Infantrymen, Unit Supply Specialists, and Horizontal Construction Engineers. Each soldier qualified for $50,000 college assistance and the GI Bill and some also qualified for the $20,000 sign-on bonus.
