He was born October 12, 1957, in Lake City, Tennessee. Harry is preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Geraldine (Baird) Long; brother, Wayne Long; and sister, Katha Thomas. He is survived by sisters, Joyce McGhee, and Marsha Bowlin; very special nephew and nieces, Adam, Jessica Thomas, Loucretta “Lynn” Bowlin Rose and husband Gregory, and Amanda Long; special uncle and aunt, Robert and Flonizee Long; special cousins, Jeff, Jerry Baird, and Andy Hamrick; and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Harp Funeral Home with Rev. Junior Dople and Rev. Waylon Hunter officiating. The family will honor Harry’s wishes to be cremated. Harp Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
