The following cases were heard by Judge Fred White in Whitley County District Court on Aug. 25: Lee Conway Crabtree, born in 1974, fugitive from another state &#x2013; extradition waived to Tennessee. Kayla Lawson, born in 1988, theft by unlawful taking/disposition shoplifting &#x2013; 12-month jail sentence probated for two years after first nine months are served, court costs. The following cases were heard by Judge Fred White in Whitley County District Court on Aug. 29: Jerry Coyt, born in 1949, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs &#x2013; 30-day jail sentence probated for two years, operator&#x2019;s license suspended for 90 days, attend alcohol and drug education classes, $200 fine plus fees and costs. Clifford W. Middleton, born in 1984, two counts of second-degree fleeing or evading police &#x2013; 30-day jail sentence probated for two years, plus court costs. Gallegos Alvarez, born in 1982, speeding 10 mph over limit, no operators/moped license &#x2013; 30-day jail sentence probated for two years, $35 fine plus court costs. Joshua L. Ball, born in 1985, controlled substance prescription not in original container &#x2013; 12-month jail sentence probated for two years plus court costs. Felisha R. Bowles, born in 1998, reckless driving &#x2013; $100 fine plus court costs. Adam C. Fite, born in 1985, illegal possession of a legend drug, prescription not in proper container, controlled substance prescription not in original container &#x2013; 12-month jail sentence probated for two years plus court costs.
