The following cases were heard by Judge Cathy E. Prewitt in Whitley County District Court on Jan. 27: Amanda Bargo, born in 1990, theft by unlawful taking/disposition shoplifting – 12-month jail sentence probated for two years after first seven days are served, credit one day already served, sentence to be served on weekends, $21.98 restitution to Wal-Mart, stay out of Wal-Mart, consecutive with prior sentence. Joshua Lee Bennett, born in 1979, theft by unlawful taking or disposition shoplifting under $500 – 30-day jail sentence probated for 12 months, court costs, must stay out of Wal-Mart. Wayne R. Colter, born in 1959, bench warrant issued for failure to appear – owes $365.35 restitution.
