The closest one to here was Lawrenceburg that is kind of where we got the idea.&#x201D; The Lawrenceburg car show of the same name is also a fundraiser for that area&#x2019;s shop with a cop program. Caddell said that organizers of the Williamsburg show have no idea how much they will make off the event or how many participants will take part. &#x201C;I hope that it goes good,&#x201D; Caddell said. &#x201C;The problem is there are a lot of car shows in our area. Some people have really good success with them and some people don&#x2019;t. This was the only open date we could kind of find that works for us plus it is not so cold that people won&#x2019;t come out.&#x201D; Registration begins at 9 a.m. Saturday and the show will take place from 10 a.m. &#x2013; 4 p.m. at the Kentucky Splash Waterpark. The entry fee is $15 for the first vehicle and $10 for each additional vehicle. Door prizes and awards will be given. &#x201C;I want everybody to come out and look at cars. I think we are going to have some hot dogs for sale and some drinks. It is not a real fancy thing. There might be 20 cars. There might be 150 cars. I&#x2019;d like to see 150 but we will see how it goes,&#x201D; Caddell added. For more information contact Caddell or Brandon Prewitt at (606) 549-6087 or (606) 549-6038. All proceeds will go towards the Williamsburg Police Department Shop with a Cop program. Shop with a Cop takes less fortunate children on $100 Christmas shopping sprees at Wal-Mart. Last year 148 children took part. Caddell said that the car show would hopefully be in addition to the mud bog, which is a timed event for ATV&#x2019;s and four-wheel drive vehicles that drive through mud-filled pits. The mud bog is also a shop with a cop fundraiser. &#x201C;The mud bog is still kind of up in the air. The problem is we don&#x2019;t have a very good place to host it now,&#x201D; Caddell noted. Last year the mud bog was held at the Whitley County Fiscal Court&#x2019;s industrial site at Savoy. Caddell noted that the police department is thankful to the county for letting them use the site, but that location is a bit out of the way and the ground tends to be soggy there. &#x201C;It makes it a little more muddy than we would like is a good way to put it,&#x201D; Caddell added.</description></oembed>
