On Friday, the Whitley County Road Department cleaned out about one and one-half miles of ditch line on Maple Creek Road using a recently purchased piece of new equipment that should dramatically reduce the amount of time it takes to conduct ditching work.

One of Corbin’s two Walgreens stores will close in early July, and it’s all part of a larger plan to close about 200 U.S. stores following a merger with a European drug retailer.

Corbin’s Director of Economic Development will be honored later this month as the fifth recipient of the annual Daniel Boone “Visionary” Award, given to those who embody the values of the Boy Scouts of America.
